The “Scat” and the “Hop” of Things

About eight years ago Jesse Jones Jr. and myself kind of invented a new musical genre and we released an album on it and called it "Scat Hop". If I had to, I guess I'd say Jesse is the Scat and I'm the Hop ๐Ÿ™‚

The album we released in 2010 may have been just a little ahead of its time – I think people didn't quite know what to make of it. But with some of the most amazing performances by Jesse "in the can", these tracks just have to be heard.

So I've been approaching these songs one at a time, changing up the feel to a more organic unit and releasing them as singles. We have had tremendous response to the first single release "Funk Mambo Remix" which I put out at the beginning of the year. http://cdbaby.com/jessejonesjr22

Here's a preview of the second single release to be available and in rotation very soon!

If you're familiar with the Scat Hop product then you'll undoubtedly recognize the song. But if you listen closely you'll hear really a brand new approach to this music that supports Jesse's off-the-wall antics and his driving funk saxophone in a whole new way.

I believe the world at large will come to really value and appreciate these scat hop tracks, over the long run, if not right away. Enjoy the latest single, Scat Hop Remix!
