Jerry Carr was/is a local Detroit Artist that was produced by producer Billy Talbert of Shotgun on this album “This Must Be Heaven”. The album was recorded at Solid Sound studios in Ann Arbor Michigan, and I was hired by Billy to do the horn arrangements. Billy had met me through sessions with Les Harvey of Ann Arbor. For this album, I charted out the horn parts, I hired the horn players, and basically produced the horn sessions with Billy engineering in the control room. My recollection is that Mark Kieme was one of the sax players.. he is now the president of the Michigan Musicians Union local. Also on the track was Pete Khan from Ann Arbor, a great sax man I worked with quite a bit in those days. On trumpet was Bill Lucas, great job.

To be honest, this is my kind of funk.
